Emails you send us. Your email address and the content of your message.

Using the website. Basic technical information, such as your browser and device, collected through cookies.

Why we use it.

To reply to wholesale enquiries. So we can talk to you and, if you want, set up supply for your business. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.

To tell you when home delivery opens. Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.

To keep records for trade customers. Lawful basis: our legal obligations, including tax and accounting.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with.

Only with the providers that help us run Macarena, such as the company that hosts our website and our email provider, and only so they can provide that service. We may also share data where the law requires it.

Some providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it.

Wholesale enquiries. Up to two years after our last contact, unless your business becomes a customer.

Trade customers. For as long as tax law requires us to keep business records.

Home delivery list. Until you unsubscribe, or until we close the list.

Cookies.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work. If we add analytics or marketing cookies, we will only set them with your consent, which you can give or refuse in the cookie banner.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to send it to you or to another organisation. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@macarena.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
